Rev. Dr. Floyd Andrew Miles

Reverend Dr. Floyd A. Miles was born on May 31, 1960 and is the second child out of five children born to Deacon James C. Miles, Sr. and Deaconess Gloria Trent Miles of Richmond, Virginia.

Floyd is a high school graduate  of Thomas Dale High School in Chesterfield County, Virginia. He continued his education by attending J. Sergeant Reynolds Community College, New Life School of Continuing Ministry, Evans Smith Training Institute, School of Theology at Virginia Union University, graduated Cum Laude from Strassford University of London, England with a B.S. in Business Administration, minor in Theology Studies and earned his Doctorial   in Divinity Degree from the Norfolk Theology Seminary College Norfolk, VA June 9th, 2012 and a Doctor of Human Letters from the Alabama Interdenominational Seminary Inc. in Mobile. Alabama.

Dr. Miles is the Pastor of the Mt. Salem Baptist Church in Staunton, Virginia for 18 years. He is currently employed by the Richmond City Public School System in Richmond, Virginia as Director of Pupil Transportation and Fleet Management and within this position he is responsible for school bus transportation, all school vehicles and fleet management.

Dr. Miles is a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church where Pastor Dr. Roy Neal Siler licensed his to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ on March 24, 1996. At that time he was involved in the Ministry of Visitation and the Music Ministry for many years. On November 22, 1998 he was ordained. Dr. Miles also served as counselor of the 700 Club for the Christian Broadcast Network.

Today, Dr. Miles resides in Chesterfield County, Virginia. He has two God Daughters: Diachelle Crawley of Richmond  and Sidney Lomax of Crozet, VA, Five God Sons; Torrence Mack, Trevor Veney, and Ahmad Walker all of Staunton, VA, Minister Rodrigous Robinson, Richmond, VA and Pastor Tim Starkey  of West, Va.

  • Renovation to the Parsonage

  • Renovation of the Pastor's study

  • Central air installed in Fellowship Hall

  • Purchased new office equipment (computer, fax and copier)

  • Organized the Western Chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America

  • New church van purchased

  • Seven new Deacons installed

  • Seven new Trustees added to ministry

  • New chairs purchased for Fellowship Hall

  • Marched into new sanctuary on Sunday, June 22, 2008
